My name is Matthew Johnson and I’m the owner of Dream Body Boot Camp, located in San Diego, CA. Growing up, I always loved sports. But whether I was playing soccer with the US National Team or an Olympic Development Team, I couldn’t seem to get rid of my chubby body. My older brothers never let me forget that either!

I know the feeling and I know it doesn’t feel great at all! No matter how accomplished I was at sports, my brothers’ words resonated and made me feel unappealing.
But you know what they say about payback! I graduated high school determined to make a change to a new me! While in college I learned everything I could about what it takes to burn fat, build muscles and get my body in top form.
My efforts did not go unrewarded! I saw an amazing transformation in my body immediately and I did it without having to spend every moment of the day in the gym! Better still is that I wasn’t the only one to notice the change. My friends all saw the difference in me and were surprised at how far I’d come in such a short time. My brothers still ribbed me—big brothers will do that—but it didn’t bother me anymore. I knew I looked and felt great!

Seeing the response I got from others and feeling the fabulous change in my body changed my life. I became an ACSM Nationally Certified Personal Trainer and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Fitness, Nutrition and Health.
